Privacy Policy

idarr is built on a simple promise: your device is yours. We don't track you, profile you, or share anything about you — because we collect nothing to begin with.

No data collected No account required No ads Works offline No third-party SDKs
01

Overview

TL;DR — idarr does not collect, process, store, or transmit any personal data. This policy exists to be transparent about that fact, and to comply with app store requirements.

This Privacy Policy describes how idarr ("the app", "we", "our") handles information in connection with your use of the idarr application, available on the Google Play Store.

By downloading or using idarr, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

This policy applies exclusively to the idarr mobile application. It does not apply to any other websites, services, or applications that may link to the app or that the app may link to.

02

Information we collect

idarr collects no information of any kind. The following table gives a complete picture.

Category Examples Collected?
Personal identifiers Name, email, phone number, address Never
Device identifiers IMEI, Android ID, advertising ID Never
Usage data Screens viewed, features used, session length Never
Crash & diagnostics Stack traces, ANRs, battery state Never
Location data GPS, coarse network location, IP-based location Never

03

How the app works locally

idarr runs entirely on your device. Any content you create, configure, or interact with within the app is stored locally in the app's private sandbox on your device's internal storage — it is never uploaded, synced, or shared with any server.

Local storage

idarr may use Android's standard local storage mechanisms (such as SharedPreferences or an SQLite database) to persist your in-app preferences and data between sessions. This data lives exclusively on your device. It is erased when you uninstall the app.

Network connectivity

idarr does not establish any network connections to external servers for the purpose of transmitting personal data. If the app has network connectivity at all, it is solely to serve a core feature that is clearly visible to you within the app — never silently.

Note — The absence of analytics or crash reporting means we genuinely do not receive feedback when something goes wrong. If you encounter a bug, please contact us directly so we can fix it.

04

Android permissions

Android requires apps to declare permissions they may need. Any permission listed in idarr's manifest is used solely to power a specific, user-facing feature — never to collect data. The current version of idarr requests the minimum set of permissions needed to function.

You can review and revoke permissions at any time via Settings → Apps → idarr → Permissions on your Android device. Revoking a permission may disable related features, but will never affect data privacy — because no data is transmitted regardless.

Important — If a future version of idarr requests a sensitive permission not currently in use (such as camera or microphone), this policy will be updated and a specific justification will be added here before that release is published.

05

Third-party services

idarr does not integrate any third-party SDKs, libraries, or services that would collect data. Specifically:

Service type Integrated?
Analytics (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude) None
Crash reporting (e.g. Crashlytics, Sentry) None
Advertising networks (e.g. AdMob, Meta Audience Network) None
Authentication providers (e.g. Google Sign-In, Firebase Auth) None
Cloud storage / sync (e.g. Firebase, AWS Amplify) None
Push notification services None
Maps or location services None
Social login / sharing SDKs None

Google Play Services may be present on your device as a system-level component independent of idarr. Any data Google collects through Play Services is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy and is outside idarr's control.

06

Advertising

idarr contains no advertisements. There are no banner ads, interstitial ads, rewarded ads, or native ads of any kind. No advertising network is integrated. No advertising identifier (GAID) is read or transmitted.

idarr is a free app with no monetization through advertising — current or planned. Should that change in a future version, this policy will be updated, and you will be notified through the app's Play Store release notes before any update containing ads is published.

Current status — idarr is entirely ad-free. No ad SDK, no tracking, no behavioural profiling.

07

Data sharing & sale

We do not share personal data with any third party — because we hold no personal data to share. We do not:

— Sell personal data to data brokers or advertisers.
— Share data with business partners or affiliates.
— Disclose data to government agencies (there is nothing to disclose).
— Transfer data in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

In the event idarr is ever acquired or merged with another entity, any successor will be bound by this policy. If the policy is to change materially, users will be notified in advance.

08

Data retention

Since idarr collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. All data created by you within the app (preferences, user-generated content) resides solely on your device.

To delete all app data:

Uninstall the app — all app data is removed from your device automatically by Android.
— Or go to Settings → Apps → idarr → Storage → Clear Data to wipe app data without uninstalling.

After uninstalling idarr, no residual data about you exists anywhere — neither on your device nor on our servers (we have no servers).

09

Security

The most effective data security is to not collect data in the first place. idarr is designed around this principle.

Local data stored by the app on your device is protected by Android's application sandbox — other apps cannot access it without root access. For additional security, we recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and enabling device-level encryption (enabled by default on modern Android devices).

We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data on your physical device — we have no control over physical theft, malware, or rooted devices. Use standard Android security practices (screen lock, Play Protect, updated OS) to protect your device generally.

Responsible disclosure — If you discover a security vulnerability in idarr, please report it to us at contact@idarr.app before disclosing it publicly. We take all reports seriously and will respond promptly.

10

Children's privacy

idarr does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13, or under any higher applicable age threshold in their jurisdiction (e.g. 16 under GDPR in certain countries).

Because idarr collects no personal data from anyone, it is inherently compliant with:

COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, USA)
Google Play Families Policy
GDPR Article 8 (processing of children's data)
UK GDPR and the Age Appropriate Design Code

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has somehow submitted personal information through the app, please contact us. We will promptly investigate and address your concern — although given the app's architecture, we do not believe this is technically possible.

11

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding personal data. Because idarr does not process personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by default. They are listed here for completeness.

Access
Right to access
We hold no data about you. Nothing to access.
Deletion
Right to erasure
Uninstall the app. All local data is gone.
Portability
Right to portability
Your data is on your device — you already have it.
Rectification
Right to rectification
We hold no data about you to correct.
Objection
Right to object
No processing occurs; nothing to object to.
Restriction
Right to restrict
Processing is already zero. Nothing to restrict.

To exercise any of these rights, or if you have questions, contact us at contact@idarr.app. We will respond within 30 days.

12

International users

idarr is available globally on the Google Play Store. Because we collect no personal data, no cross-border data transfers occur, and the app is compatible with the data protection requirements of all major jurisdictions, including:

GDPR (European Union & EEA)
UK GDPR (United Kingdom)
CCPA / CPRA (California, USA)
LGPD (Brazil)
POPIA (South Africa)
PIPL (China)
PDPA (Thailand, Singapore)
Law 09-08 (Morocco)

No data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, or adequacy decisions are required because no personal data is transferred.

13

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. For material changes — for example, if a future version of idarr introduces analytics, accounts, or advertising — we will:

— Update this policy at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
— Note the change prominently in the Play Store release notes for that version.
— If technically feasible, display an in-app notice on first launch after the update.

Your continued use of idarr following any policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with any change, you should stop using the app.

Older versions of this policy are available on request by emailing contact@idarr.app.

Commitment — We will never retroactively change this policy in a way that reduces your privacy protections without explicit, advance notice and a reasonable opt-out period.

14
